In Progress: This page is undergoing construction

When I was a kid (like before I can even remember) my parents assigned me pencil collecting for the holidays and days out we went on. I'd pick one from the gift shop and take it home, putting it away in an old ice cream tub. One of my favourite things to "play" was getting all my pencils out on the floor and sorting them into colours. They really shouldn't be suprised I turned out this way. At 33 pencils I wrote a list alphabetising them, and at just before 100 pencils I created a spreadsheet. Currently I have 214 pencils.

Eventually I outgrew the ice cream tub and now i keep them in an old Celebrations tub. They deserve better and I've sewn one out of five cloth rolls to keep them in. insert picture eventually But my ultimate dream is a custom wooden display cabinet for my future old lady cottage.

Since I organize them in a spreadsheet I would be foolish if I didn't share a few numbers with you.
My largest colour category is Red, with 27 pencils (12.62%).
My rarest colours are Grey and Brown, both with 2 pencils (0.93%).
